Hello horror fans, today I am gifting you with my fave movies this week. To be honest, I've been running a little behind but I do have some cool things in the works. One thing being my review on the new Pet Sematary movie that I saw this last weekend, but we will talk more about that later. Because I havent been able to write as much as I'd like to, I thought I would make up for it by gifting you my fave movies at the moment. This should be brief but hopefully fun, so let's go.
1) Pet Sematary (1989)
I have been watching the original adaptation of Stephen Kings novel a lot lately. I just can't get over how good I think it is. If you haven't seen it I deeply encourage you to do so. Especially if you are planning on seeing the new one. I just want new horror fans to be fully informed about new adaptations and the movies and books to come before them. And the book is excellent too. Give it all a go.
2) Castle Freak
This one is new to my movie library and it really is...freaky. This one is about and man and wife, and their blind daughter, who inherit an old Italian castle. Inside the basement of this large estate lives something...freaky. Ok ok, I'll stop with that, but something scary does lurk in the castle and mysteries abound. Lost loves, a family secret, and a freak are what this movie is all about. I love this and it doesn't hurt that cult horror actors Jeffery Combs and Barbra Crampton star as husband and wife in this H.P Lovecraft story. You can find this one on YouTube.
3) Shaun Of The Dead
This makes my movie list this week because Shaun Of The Dead turns 15! How amazing is that? I have always been a big fan of this movie. It blends humor and horror in brilliant ways and never skimps on the gore. Plus it's a throw back to George Romero zombie movies. Scary and funny? Yes please!
That's all I have for you for today. I hope you enjoyed my little list of terror. Let me know if you have seen any of these? Do you like them, hate them, never seen them? Give'em a go and let me know. See you next time and, as always, stay spooky!
