Jason Goes To Hell starts two years after the previous film. It starts with an FBI ambush on Jason Voorhees, resulting in him being blown to smithereens. His remains are sent off to a morgue, where Jason's soul possesses the body of the corner and uses him to escape the morgue. Jason returns to Camp Crystal Lake, killing two police officers and possessing one. It is during this kill and possess routine, that a bounty hunter discovers that only the blood line of Jason can kill him for good.
Also, he will return to his supernatural and invincible state if he possesses one of his family members. It is learned that his only living relatives is his half-sister, her adult daughter Jessica and her infant daughter. And thus, the mad hunt for the family is on. Jason finds his sister and kills her, leaving her daughter and her small family left. Jason then returns to Camp Crystal Lake to pick up where he left off. Jessica and the bounty hunter follow after him and, with the help of a magic dagger, send Jason and his evil soul back to Hell. The movie ends with Freddy Kruger's glove dragging Jason's mask underground.

The next thing I would add is how crazy the plot is. I know that Jason has always had a supernatural element to him, but how desperate do filmmakers have to be to make it to where his blood line that we didn't know that he even had has to kill him for him to really die? And they have to some special dagger to do it? This isn't The Omen. Jason is not the devil, he was a little boy who drowned and came back to get his revenge. Nothing more, nothing less. I just miss when Friday the 13th was just campy fun filled with slaughtered teens and a man in a hockey mask. I guess I couldn't have made it any better myself, but this just seems silly.
The final point I would like to make is that this movie does have a rad ending. I mean, any ending where Freddy Kruger is literally what drags Jason to hell is way cool. Plus, I am a huge Wes Craven fan, so any nod to him is appreciated by me. Also, fun fact coming your way, this is what helped propel Freddy V.S Jason that would be made 10 years later. So this movie has it's high points.
